We were recently hosted for what I can confidently say was one of the most phenomenal experiences I’ve ever had where culinary artistry and live music are seamlessly and beautifully intertwined.

At the heart of Bramble Hill is Chef Deanna, whose passion for sustainable, farm-to-table cuisine has been shaping her craft for over 15 years. Alongside her is David E. Risenberg, a talented pianist and poet who brings a whole new dimension to the evening. Together, they’ve created an experience that feels intimate, thoughtful, and completely unique.
Located in the bucolic town of Bovina, Chef Deanna draws inspiration from her Sicilian heritage and the surrounding farms and local makers. Every dish reflects a balance of rustic elegance think cast iron cooking paired with vintage china while showcasing fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

From the very first bite, it was clear this wasn’t your average dining experience. The evening featured a thoughtfully curated menu, each dish layered with creativity and flavor:
Manchego cheese paired with delicate prosciutto
A standout cabbage crisp with homemade sour cream shockingly reminiscent of a chicharrón, and absolutely unforgettable
A rich lobster bisque topped with pumpkin seeds, an unexpected addition that elevated the dish beautifully
Ravioli with pancetta in a silky white shallot sauce
Organic greens with roasted shallots, rose petals, honey, and blueberries fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced
Filet mignon cooked to perfection
And to end the night on a high note: a marzipan burnt Basque cheesecake with raspberry whipped cream, entirely handmade and simply incredible.

What truly sets Bramble Hill apart is the atmosphere. Throughout the evening, live piano music filled the space as David E. Risenberg performed original compositions and shared poetry, adding an emotional and artistic layer to the experience. Guests even had the opportunity to interact with him personally, making the night feel even more special and memorable.
